Branch Lobby Closure-WHERE DO I GO GUIDE

The health and safety of our members and staff continues to be our top priority during this time.
Based on the latest recommendations from the Centers of Disease Control, government authorities, and health officials, we have made the decision to close all G.H.S. Federal Credit Union lobbies, available by appointment only, beginning Monday, March 23rd, until further notice.

Our drive thru located at 211 Patewood Drive will remain open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You may contact our offices at 864-288-8046 (Patewood) or 864-455-7945 (GMH).

Please know that this decision was not made lightly, but with deep consideration in doing our part to slow the spread of this virus and keep our staff and members as safe and healthy as possible.

You and your family may be worried about the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), but your credit union wants you to know we are here for you as we always have been. We’re not going anywhere, because at its core, our credit union is not a building or a business, it is people unified for a common goal.

Your money is safe and insured

There are a lot of things to worry about these days, but the safety of your money in your credit union isn’t one of them. Your money is safe, and your accounts are fully insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF) up to $250,000. Credit union members have never lost a penny of insured savings at a federally insured credit union. There is no risk to keeping money in your account, but there are countless risks to holding cash.

COVID-19 has cancelled, postponed, and slowed down much of American life, but the nation’s financial system operations are still strong. You can meet nearly all of your financial needs without leaving your home. If you do not have it on your mobile phone, now is a good time to download our mobile app (MYGHSFCU) or sign up for online access on our website. Bill pay is available in our Netbranch online banking. We have drive-thru service at our Patewood Office, and an ATM. Kasasa accounts also have free access to ATMs. Direct Connect 24 (audio response unit) is also available. You can transfer and deposit money, and pay bills through your debit card or credit card. Staff is also available via telephone.
If you’ve been impacted by this pandemic, our staff is dedicated to working with and helping you through these uncertain times. Now, more than ever, we are here to support our members. Our upcoming newsletter will provide you with skip-a-payment information for loans and credit cards.

Health professionals say if you must leave your house use an abundance of caution and minimize social interactions. If you need to visit one of our branches for a loan, please call us for an appointment or you may also apply online. ATMs and drive-through lanes are a great option to access your cash. Our night depositories are also available to make deposits or payments.
